Newthorpe, Nottinghamshire – Introductory and Intermediate workshops

We will be running Introductory and Intermediate workshops, Introductory level introduces you and your dog to the sport of Barn Hunt. Intermediate is preparing for Trial.

Please remember if you wish to compete in Official Trials your dog must be registered with Barn Hunt Association prior to entering a Trial. Registration is very simple and is not costly, it is a one off fee of $30, no annual renewal!

Workshops are £45 per dog.

Introductory workshops include introduction to the rat, Instinct, Novice and Open runs which enables the handler and dog to experience increasing difficulty. Workshops are training events, therefore rewards can be used in the ring, collars/harness can be worn in the ring in training events.

All dogs are to be kept on lead, in a crate or in vehicle unless in the Barn Hunt ring. No dogs are to be ring side when another dog is in the ring. To be considerate of all handlers and dogs, we make the assumption that all dogs are reactive and ask that all handlers respect other dogs’ space.

Your dog does not need to be registered with Barn Hunt Association to participate in a Workshop or Fun Test, but registration is required for Trials. We will begin running official Barn Hunt Trials in 2023.
